We are looking for a sharp Senior Level Engineer to join our team. We are a growing, highly respected environmental air quality consulting firm based out of Southern California. We work on a wide variety of environmental air quality permitting and compliance projects, across a diverse range of California industries and locations. We are currently expanding and looking to grab a foothold in the Bay Area. We offer a friendly, team-oriented work environment.
Position Summary:
Performs professional engineering work of considerable difficulty supervising and/or executing the permitting function in regards to Title V, RECLAIM, Emissions Reporting etc. Analyzing permit-related technical and regulatory issues, and communicating those analyses within the department, with applicants, with other agencies and with the public at large; performs other duties as required or assigned.
This is an experienced senior level position working under general supervision. Positions at this level are assigned to perform the more complex and sensitive duties in the occupational field.
The employee in this position may be assigned to train other employees and/or monitor
the work produced by other employees. Please note that this is a start up position for a new office in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for candidates with extensive experience with the local agencies (EPA, BAAQMD) within that area and a strong knowledge of the industry for the Bay Area.
The candidate qualifications we are looking for include:
• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or other Engineering/Scientific degree;
• M.S. preferred but not necessary;
• 10-15 years of work experience in the air quality industry in a senior or leadership position;
• Highly motivated to continue working in the Air Quality Environmental field and expand their knowledge and experience;
• Excellent communication and team working skills;
• Extensive experience with Title V, RECLAIM, Emissions Reporting, Permit to Construct etc…within the Bay Area;
• C.P.P. or P.E. certifications in the State of CA preferred but not required.
• Leadership skills are a must;
• English and technical writing skills;
• Strong computer skills.

Signal Engineer
Immediate need for an experienced Signal Engineer within the electrical engineering discipline who is fully competent to complete design efforts with minimal direction in San Francisco. Initially project work will be to support signal and train control projects on the west coast, predominantly the California High Speed Rail project, and multiple design and implementation projects in the LA Basin. The successful candidate also will support the signal team in the winning and execution of Positive Train Control related contracts.
On a task basis, he/she is responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs including signal equipment layouts, circuit drawings, specifications, and other signal related plans and drawings. Also responsible for developing signaling system cost estimates at both a rough order of magnitude and detailed levels. This individual coordinates preparation of documentation within assigned task areas. Responsible for discipline engineering designs; helps supervise, schedule, and check work of signal system project team members; works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects, supporting systems integration activities predominantly with communications, infrastructure, and civil engineering disciplines. Responsible also for productivity of subordinates and the delivery of on time, on budget projects with high quality of deliverables
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience, or in lieu of a degree, an additional 5 years of a mixture of design and field experience on a Class 1 railroad will be taken into consideration. Equivalent experience with signal and train control systems on a major transit system such as New York City, Boston, or Atlanta will also be considered in lieu of Class 1 railroad experience.

Senior Solar Designer/Engineer
Mission:
Evaluate solar projects for code compliance/feasibility and submit permits to ensure final sign off.
Results:
•Design and submit 10 solar projects per week
•Attain a 100% inspection pass rate •Answer all Inspection representatives’ questions within 2 hours
•Pull 60 -65 city permits per month
•Expedite permit process turnaround time by 15%
•Manage the design and permit team
Requirements Essential Duties:
Reviewing all new solar projects for feasibility and compliance
System design and specifications, including identifying materials requirements
Obtaining all local permits and other required approvals (e.g., homeowners’ association approval), including:
Preparing all designs, permit packs and documentation needed
Coordinating the submission of these documents and following-up as needed
Coordinating post-installation inspections
Assisting the sales team with system design and technical questions
Advising staff on the technical aspects of solar equipment, including the company’s existing suppliers/products and potential new products
Requirements
•3+ years experience designing residential solar systems is required (preferably at a company located in Southern California)
•2+ years experience in the residential construction industry
•Excellent, hands-on knowledge of NEC codes and local permit requirements in Southern California •NABCEF certification
•Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical engineering
•Excellent CAD skills•Excellent knowledge of the technical capabilities of existing solar equipment
•Hands-on experience with SolarPathfinder Assistant•Be energetic, a self-starter, and strong desire of upward mobility and growth
•Have comfort and experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
•Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint•Excellent written and communication skills

Senior Cost Estimator Rail Engineer PE
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Must be a registered, professional engineer (PE) with a minimum 10 years experience in cost estimating including capital cost estimating for large transportation infrastructure projects.
Must have previous experience with cost estimates for rail projects and large civil, site work and transit projects doing preliminary design and construction phases, knowledge of cost data resources for materials, labor, equipment, and industry cost indices.
The ideal candidate should be able to implement a cost estimating system that will collect and summarize input and produce cost reports as required and able to develop a 30% construction cost estimating methodology consistent with FTA.
Must be able to develop unit price and composite price data and perform work as a program management experience
